The Okanagan Challenge hit the road on the weekend with hopes of making up ground in the Pacific Coast Soccer League standings. The club did just that, by handing the previously undefeated Khalsa Sporting Club of New Westminster its first loss, a 2-1 decision on Saturday, before keeping the Athletic Club of Burnaby winless with a 4-1 triumph on Sunday. Against Khalsa, Dillon Ferridge and Andrew Celenza scored to help the Challenge prevail in a hard-fought match. Against Burnaby, Darryl King, with two, Nick Auditore and Joel Malouf of Kelowna provided the offence. The end result saw the Challenge settle into third place with a 4-2-1 record, trailing Khalsa (4-1-1) and the top-ranked Vancouver Thunder-birds (7-3-0). The Challenge will try to run its winning streak to three games this Sunday, when hosting Burnaby at CNC at 2:30 p.m. Top of Page
