Abbott Street from Royal to Rose avenues will re-open to traffic Saturday at 7 a.m.
Construction of the extension of the Abbott Street recreational corridor from Royal to Rose, which began in April is now complete.
Improvements to the street include the three-metre wide multi-use pathway and pedestrian sidewalk, on-street parking and streetscaping, realignment of the road and utility upgrades.
The $1 million project was funded in part by Canada‘s infrastructure stimulus fund. The City of Kelowna contributed $330,000.
